Pre-note, I am not a freelancer but I do work in web marketing so i know my way around things.
I have a moral question as to where to stop aiding on creating a website for an acquaintance as to where to draw the line from “website creation” before it becomes “marketing”.
The friend (who knows nothing about how the web works) is starting up his business and wanted a website. Said he'd throw me some cash for “creating a website”,in which i agreed as a verbal agreement. I ended up building him a single page website, which he is completely happy with.
Q: Should i also go through the creation of setting up (what i'd call “basic features”) like Google Search Console/ Analytics etc., or just leave those alone for him, as that's starting to dab into “marketing” because it involves starting a metrix/seo etc, and might cause him further confusion (and me more of my time)?
